Our pioneering work in photovoltaic technology started in 2010. Christian Dries, founder and CEO of DAS Energy Ltd., and his team developed the world's first photovoltaic modules embedded in glass fiber reinforced composite material. The technology used was inspired by aviation. This made it possible to produce the lightest photovoltaic modules on the market, which at the same time guarantee a service life of more than 40 years. Since 2016, the high-quality DAS Energy photovoltaic modules have been manufactured at the site in Wiener Neustadt, Lower Austria and are distributed worldwide. In the process, the technology is constantly being further developed in the research and development center. The production capacity is currently 55 megawatts per year.
