Description
The Victron MultiPlus-II 48/6k5/100-50 is a 6.5kVA pure sine wave inverter/charger for 48V battery systems. It combines a high-output inverter, a 100A adaptive battery charger and a 50A automatic transfer switch in one unit, and is suited to off-grid homes, backup power, hybrid ESS installations and larger marine or vehicle systems.
Key features
- Uninterrupted power (UPS): if the grid or generator drops out, the inverter takes over in under 20 milliseconds, so computers and sensitive electronics keep running.
- PowerControl and PowerAssist: set a maximum grid or generator current and the MultiPlus-II reduces charging to avoid overload, then tops up the AC supply from the battery during peak demand.
- ESS ready: the core component of a Victron Energy Storage System, with external current sensing to optimise self-consumption.
- Two AC outputs: the second output is only live when AC input is present, so non-essential loads don't drain the battery.
- Adaptive charging: a smart multi-stage algorithm suitable for lithium, AGM and gel batteries.
- Scalable: parallel and three-phase operation for larger systems.
- Monitoring: pair with a GX device such as the Cerbo GX for local and remote monitoring via the free VRM portal and app.
