Description
The Victron MultiPlus-II 48/4k5/55-32 is a 4.5kVA pure sine wave inverter/charger for 48V battery systems, combining an inverter, a 55A adaptive battery charger and a 32A automatic transfer switch in one compact unit. It sits between the 3kVA and 5kVA models and suits home backup, off-grid and ESS installations, as well as larger vehicle and marine systems.
Key features
- Uninterrupted power (UPS): takes over within milliseconds if the grid or generator drops out, so computers and sensitive electronics keep running.
- PowerControl and PowerAssist: set your grid or generator limit and the MultiPlus-II reduces charging to avoid overload, then supplements the supply from the battery during peak demand.
- ESS ready: a core building block of a Victron Energy Storage System, including Dynamic ESS.
- Two AC outputs: the second output only runs when AC input is present, keeping non-essential loads off the battery.
- Adaptive charging: suits lithium, AGM and gel batteries.
- Scalable: parallel and three-phase configurations supported.
- Monitoring: pair with a GX device such as the Cerbo GX for local and remote monitoring via the free VRM portal and app.
