Description
The Victron MultiPlus-II 12/5000/220-50 is the most powerful 12V inverter/charger in the MultiPlus-II range: a 5kVA pure sine wave inverter, a 220A adaptive battery charger and a 50A automatic transfer switch in one unit. It's built for large motorhomes, boats and off-grid systems that run on a 12V battery bank but need heavy AC loads and very fast charging.
Key features
- 220A charger: refills large 12V lithium or lead-acid banks quickly from shore power or a generator.
- Uninterrupted power (UPS): switches to inverter in under 20 milliseconds if shore or generator power drops out.
- PowerControl and PowerAssist: limits draw on a weak supply and boosts it with battery power during peak demand.
- Two AC outputs: the second output only runs when AC input is present, keeping heavy non-essential loads off the battery.
- Adaptive charging: suits lithium, AGM and gel batteries.
- Scalable and connected: parallel and three-phase capable; add a GX device for VRM remote monitoring.
