Description
The Victron MultiPlus-II 12/4k/160-32 is the most powerful 12V model in the MultiPlus-II range: a pure sine wave inverter, a 160A adaptive battery charger and a 32A automatic transfer switch in one compact unit. It's a strong fit for campervans, motorhomes, boats and off-grid cabins built around a 12V battery bank that need serious AC power and fast charging from shore or generator.
Key features
- 4kW for an hour: 3.4kW continuous at 25°C, 4kW for 1 hour from cold, and 6kW peak to start demanding loads.
- 160A charger: refills large lithium or lead-acid banks quickly, with a smart adaptive multi-stage algorithm.
- Uninterrupted power (UPS): switches to inverter within milliseconds if shore power or the generator drops out.
- PowerControl and PowerAssist: set your shore or generator limit and the MultiPlus-II cuts back charging to avoid tripping it, then supplements the supply from the battery during peak loads.
- Two AC outputs: the second output only runs when AC input is present, keeping heavy non-essential loads off the battery.
- Scalable: up to six units in parallel, or three-phase configurations.
- Monitoring: connect a GX device such as the Cerbo GX for local and remote monitoring through the free VRM portal and app.
