Description
The Victron MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120-50 2x120V (UL 458) is a 3kVA inverter/charger for 12V battery systems, built for North American 120/240V split-phase installations – for example US-spec RVs, motorhomes and boats. It accepts and passes through both lines of a 50A 120/240V shore or generator supply, and carries UL 458 certification for mobile use.
Key features
- Split-phase input: uses the full 50A of a 120/240V supply for charging and loads; on a single 120V supply it feeds both sides of the distribution panel.
- Battery-friendly inverting: in inverter mode it supplies 120V to both lines, so heavy 240V loads such as water heaters or air conditioning can't drain the battery.
- Uninterrupted power (UPS): switches to inverter within milliseconds if shore or generator power drops out.
- PowerControl and PowerAssist: limits draw on a weak supply and boosts it with battery power during peak demand.
- 120A adaptive charger: suits lithium, AGM and gel batteries.
- Scalable and connected: parallel and three-phase capable; add a GX device for VRM remote monitoring.
